Nokia N96 release date

My friend Devin Ballentina has posted what he thinks is the release date for the Nokia N96 smartphone. He believes that the date marketed over Mobile City, 7th May, is the realistic one.
The truth is that Nokia doesn’t have to hide it anymore, as the product is official. Unfortunately there is no official price tag or network deals on it, or even leaks on networks for that matter. The price on the website seems to be a bit higher than the one given to the Nokia N95 on it’s release, currently it’s set to $799, and that’s with a $100 discount.
The only price we have from Nokia is without taxes or subsidies, which is $550, relatively cheap compared to the one at Mobile City, but this price is only set for a release in Q3, which is quite late if Nokia wants to throw out the competition.

Iam really happy that its releasing on 7th of may and my birthdays on 18 th of may iam looking forward to get it in my pocket id doesnt matter weather its price $900 or $700 which thing i want to buy it i’ll get it ihave apple iphone now but iam going to throw it away

I surfed the web and see some retailer have N96 with about 300USD. I’m wondering how they have the products and sell it with such a price when it is not released yet? Is that kinds of cheating?

Obviously it is Scam. There might be some people, eventually, from Nokia who were given some mobile phones just to review or something like that. But for 300USD….hmmmmmmm
But anyway, don’t trust in such a price, even bigger. I know it is difficult to wait until August, but…it is preferable than losing more money.

I think the new nokia N96 will be released after the summer as i dont think the handset is ready yet as not all of the features are installed yet price wise i think somewhere in the region of $800/$900 around over 500.00GBP cuz the old N95 is still selling for around $500 on ebay and elsewhere so i dont think it will be cheap.i will have to be contend with getting the new 8GB N95.

I’ve seen N96 release date in 2006. Guess it was just planning, but the headset is ready, but dont know why they dragging it and im tryin really hard to get the contact number for Nokia USA and UK to ask for a fair release date. Everything eplained at http://www.nseries.com…Check em out.

I’m not sure if it comes out any sooner than the 30th but I pre-ordered mine on mobilecityonline.com (Great Place) and I think they will receive it Sept 30th or just a little before. I ordered over night shipping but over night shipping takes 1-3 business days to repackage for reshipment and then one day to get to my house. I am expecting mine around Oct 3rd
