    im watching a n96 on ebay that is a copy from china….what is the real big difference to the originals..it doesnt have wi-fi or gps…what about internal memory? what is the phone actually like? is the language in english? what is the real value of one of these phones and are they worth any money at all?

    Guys, forget about reviews. The chinese mindset is to make as much money as possible on the expense of the buyers. There is no such thing as quality or pride. They will rip off anything if there is a benefit to them. Don’t go for cheap imitation as you will get the bitter end later. These people tarnished the goodwill of the chinese around the world. Remember, the chinese don’t do quality. Look at the Olympics, it takes a keen and experience eye to spot the creaks.

    i got one frm a friend…..the major diference ws that it had sm “CAT” operating system……the features were nt far frm the orignl one…….i personaly felt that only if i cud instal the orignl nokia software in it……if sm one knows hw to then pls do let me know

    Here in Malaysia also got this Nokia N96, those seller said it’s Nokia AP Sets from Korea. I did tried this handphone , it’s got all the program just like the original (3G, GPS, TV).I also tried it 3G camera, very clear picture. It’s sold here for RM500(USD138).This hp can be bargain to as low as RM450(USD125). I don’t buy it because of the quality of the text at the back of the phone. I’m kinda fussy when buying thing from thing from sidewalk booth. Anyway I don’t buy this phone because I’m waiting for my new Iphone.

    I bought a fake n96 from the net. At first I tought it was original as all the icons of the gps, wifi, java games and more are there. I got it for $148, but must say that it still is a rip off as the icons are there and just do nothing. Not even a game loads. I must say that these manufacturers think that coying the original concerns only appearance, But there is much more to that. I appeal to all reading this not to buy fake but to opt for the original. What looks cheap priced is expensive at the end of the day.

    I got that cheap fake here in Sauth Africa for R1500.00(about USD15000).I was under the impression it was real.the thing doesnt even have java.The internal memory is 1mb.It cant do anything.The outside camera is not even 1mpx.it takes ages to load wap pages.please dont buy this junk.

    A generous advice to everyone would be to stay away from this fake imitations. The chinese only copied the outer appearence and some icon on the main menu… but the other functions are just basic.. It has no value for money as it get faulty preety fast (6 months- for mine)..
