Imagine having all your Instant messaging contacts into one interface. That’s cool enough? Not yet. How about being able to call and send file to some of them like a pictures, documents, etc.? Not yet satisfied? What if it’s free? Now we’re talking.

Nimbuzz is one of my favorite applications on Nokia N96. I can chat with all my contacts on my Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Facebook contacts(Yes! The one and only Facebook), Skype (a solution to all those seeking for Skype application for N96), MSN, Myspace, ICQ, AIM and a lot more.

With this application you can send photos, documents, music and other files to your contacts. You can select send a file option which asks you for a file on your phone or a take a photo option. I tried sending a photo to my friend’s Facebook account which he received instantly with my message and a link to view the photo.

Calling your contacts on Nimbuzz, YM, Skype and others that supported call feature is easy to use and have a good quality too. They also offer Nimbuzz to landline/mobile call option but with credits you can avail through Nimbuzz Out.

I strongly advise to use this application through your Wi-Fi connection or if you have unlimited data access to avoid data transfer fees from your service provider. One problem I am having with this application is my music pauses after signing in my Nimbuzz account, but you can continue listening to music after pressing the play button while using the application. Summary: Everyday you always end up with some time to spare and you also end up with not enough time to finish everything you have to do. Nokia Mobile phones have the Symbian S60 software that allows you to get the best  apps to solve your problems. You can compare mobile phones from nokia with others like HTC, but the simplicity of the software comes with the Nokia phone.There are many things nowadays to help you spread your time out with out causing your any inconvenience. Message in Time is an Application for your nokia N96 that also works on the Nokia N97 that allows you to write a message and chose who it is sent to and when its is sent to them. The great thing about Message in Time is that you can get it to seed the same message many contacts at the same time, which can really save time in the future for events like the new year and for invitations to events.

Overview: I know that this application has lots of features that the nokia n96 already has but the ability to send messages in the future is a really handy tool. Now for the ability to message people and have it deliver later on isn’t actually free although it probably should be but it costs $12 so its not the most expensive thing on the planet. Message in Time does have a 25 text free trial so you can check it out.

Name: Easy Reject

Description: Call and Msg Manager

Summary: I’m sure everyone or at least most people have received phone calls on their nokia n96, normally its easy to ignore but it can still get annoying. Easy Reject is an application that perfects the art of rejecting calls and messages with out you even knowing. Easy Reject can import your numbers you what to avoid from your phonebook and your call log and then it will reject their calls and messages without any sort of notification at all. Easy Reject also lets you check who has called, how many times they called and what the messages say.

Overview: There are many applications that claim to reject your calls but I’ve never seen one that does this good of a job. There’s still the same problem with private numbers so its not exactly perfect but its still very handy application. Easy Reject cost $18.50 but there is a 20 call trial so you can see how good the application is, which is what you can download below

Summary: For phones like the nokia n96 you really need to buy it on a tariff to make it affordable and because the internet is so useful on your nokia N96 its nice to have a few free MB of packet data to surf. The problem that can arise is that if your don’t have unlimited packet plan then it can cost quite allot to if you go over your quota. Data Quota is an application that monitors your internet usage and you can put in your bill date and data plan so it can warn you when you have only a few MB. Nowadays everyone has wifi and that’s free so Data Quota doesn’t count the MB you use.

Overview: Data Quota is a very small, really handy and simple application that will let your keep a good eye on your data plan. Data Quota is a free application so it can only save you money, so if you use packet data internet then you really should download this application.

Summary: Over the past few days I’ve been going on about applications with lots of features and lots of applications with only one feature and it seems to me that applications with one feature does its job better. If this truly is the case then you are going to need loads of applications which is going to be a bit of a pain. Each application works extremely well and there nothing better in the money managements department.

Overview: Since its three applications its hard to do a review on all of them all but overall they all work fine and they work really well with each other. Each application can be bought on its own but you save 40% if you buy it in this pack but this pack is $29.95 which is quite allot. Summary: We all should know by now that the Nokia n96 is very much a media phone is its awesome speakers, large screen and stand. Because its a media phone your always going to want good quality media and a good quality media player. UCPlayer is a Chinese media player translated to English that really only deals with videos but that’s fair since there are plenty of great mp3 players. UCPlayer may only deal with videos but it deals with videos very well, first UCPlayer will chose which file type to associate with and then you can easily search your files for your videos. UCPlayer can support flv, avi, wmv, mkv, 3gp, 3gpp, mp4 videos so you can easily play good quality videos.

Overview: With its customisable colour scheme, great sound output and excellent file support make UCPlayer a really good media player. The problem with UCPlayer is that you can adjust the brightness or contrast but all that make it more of a install and play application. I’m pretty sure UCPlayer is a free application so you can download below and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality media player.

Summary: N-gage is know as the mobile gaming platform but since they havn’t released a new game recently so if your looking of a bit of fun out of your phone you have to look else where. In the world of else where Street Cricket is a new game for your Nokia n96 that doesn’t use n-gage but can still use all the phones hardware. Street Cricket is exactly what it sounds like, its a cricket game that you play on the street and it has great graphics and very smooth gameplay. I know that many people don’t play cricket but if you know anything about it the you will know its a game needs a bit of strategy and can always be lost.

Overview: Street Cricket is a pretty entertaining game but I think its missing a multilayer, but its still entertaining. One thing about cricket is that you have to know the rules and the best strategy to be able to win. Street Cricket is a free game thats nice and small an works very smoothly so it makes for an enjoyable game.

Description: GPS Navigation Software

Summary: Theres plenty of Navigation software avaible on the market but they can take up a lot of space or you can go with an online based one like google maps, but that dosen’t take into account traffic,roadworks ect.. so what can you use. Waze is a navigation software for all kinds of devices but only a few symbian devices but luckily the Nokia N96 is one of the symbian phones that it works on. Waze is like no other navigation software because what it will do is find your location and then you input your destination and it will direct you, but if another Waze user is stuck in traffic or there’s road works or a policeman along your route then waze will automatically redirect you.

Overview: Theres one fatal flaw with Waze and that is that it need more users to make it more accurate, but if they are lucky then it will be a really handy application. First Waze is so far only active in the US but theres no reason it can’t be used everywhere else. Waze is a free application be dose want you to register and you have to download the application on your phone. Waze works perfectly and it would be great if everyone dose there part.

Summary: I’m sure by now you all have realised what an important role the Internet plays in modern life, and I’m sure you all know the amount of benefits your nokia n96 has when its connected to the Internet. One of the biggest problems with the Internet is that it needs a consistent Internet setting, and at home that’s fine but when your out and about you have to pay and it can get expensive. Connect is a new network manager by Psilco that will let you chose mutable networks to connect to when they are available or to the 3g connection so  you can always have Internet. Connect can be set as your default network connections so that you can always be connect thought one way or another.

Overview: Psiloc is one of the biggest symbian software creators so when ever they create an applications you know its going to work perfectly. Connect is a great little application if you want to keep you phone online, connect will also save the amount of data usage so you can save money. Connect isn’t free, in fact it cost $15 but their is a 15day trial that will let you use all the features

Name: ExeMaster

Description: Auto-Start Manager

Summary: In the past week or so there have been a few applications that have many functions and it has been a long time before I have seen one that only does only one thing. ExeMaster is an application for your nokia n96 thats designed to only do one thing, and that is to control your applications. I know a few applications can do stuff like this but none can do it to the same extent. ExeMaster can let you chose how your applications open like whether it runs or runs in the backgroung or any other way. ExeMaster can save your chosen applications and let you activate and deactivate them very easily.

Overview: It’s really refreshing to see an application that can do more than what you expected. ExeMaster has lots of quality and works perfectly on the nokia n96 and could almost be called nessesary but that depends on the applications that you are running. ExeMaster isn’t a free application but it only cost $3.50 so its hardly a big problem but the application does have a 14 day trial that will let you use all it’s features.
