First, I'm not sure if every step is required but It's what I did so it should work.
Things to note: My phone is hacked using xplore 1.04 and the installsever also using firmware 20.050 so if this doesn't work with how ever your phone is set up then try installing what I have installed.
Step #1

The first a thing you have to install is fontrouter which is a free application that you can get below
Download Fontrouter

P.s I installed this on my mass memory not on phone memory or sd card but both apparently work
Step#2

Download the TTF file pack below and copy only one to Mass memory/data/fonts

Step#3

Restart the phone and you should be done

These next steps are only for changing your Font
Step#4

Rename the "fonts" folder to "font" and then restart the phone, this is so that it stops using that folder for the current font so you can delete your new font

Step#5

Replace the font with another one that you want to try and rename the "font" folder back to "fonts" and restart your phone

The last two steps can be repeated as many times
A few other things that should be noted is that the only file type that I could get to work is TTF files but I have tried a good few and not all of them work but be sure to check around to find any other TTF that work because I will admit that I have yet to find a Font that I really like

With Fontrouterman you can change your Font easily and then adjust it from there, With this you don't need your phone to be hacked and you can change your font with out renaming any folder or anything

One downside is that you will have to restart your phone any time you want your change to take effect
and also you need to sign fontrouter LT but all the needed files are in the folder below

This should actually be added to the sticky of things to do when you first get your N96.
Changing fonts is priority in leading handsets . My favourite is this one: download CASUCM__scrpt.TTf

Hmmm i can.t install the LT file, it says something about the certificate... what should i do?

ok you will have to sign the LT file,
I will look around for a pre signed one but I'm not sure I can get one. If you haven't hacked your phone then you will need a developers cert, you can get it in this tutorial http://nokian96.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2434

really well the only problem with is that you need one dedicated to your imei so I can't do it for you sorry.

i could give you my imei code if you want and if you have time, and i guess you are already registered to that chineese site, so it won.t take hours to do it

well it is all the same but you can only apply for an cert once, another option is to hack your phone and then it will install without doing any of that

well i don.t really wanna hack my phone cause now it works perfectly and yea, just wanted to have your font app, cause its really interresting... i don.t know, all other apps are working fine, but yours need some certificate ? i dunno.

Its because its a file used designed for developers, Its also a way of security for applications. What I will do is have a look for one that is signed but It mite not be available.

well that file from rapidshare doesn.t work, it still needs a certificate and i tried the other site with the unsigned file and than cames this: Open Signed Online

FAILURE: Submitted .sis file uses a UID that is not allocated to the account holder matching this email address (0x20009f34 )

Well the I just checked the link and it works for me.
So keep trying if you look the file from rapidshare says opensigned which hopefully will work the open signed online
other files that are unsigned won't work.

so i got the signed file and it works, but where can i get some other fonts? i.ve searched in google but i didn.t find anything... and you should make a tutorial and explain all of the settings what they do, because it.s really annoying to restart the phone everytime to try them, but anyway, great job an thanks for your help
