Nokia N96 App Review – FExplorer Pro
Name: FExplorer Pro,
Description: Complete Phone Utility,
Summary: It seems like applications now a days applications are either going to have to have one great and unique feature or a whole bunch of other features. FExplorer Pro is the latest application from SBSH for the nokia n96 to act as a complete phone /utility tool. FExplorer Pro is at first a File Manager with a task manager, process manager, Image Viewer, screen capture tool, memory defragment and file editor. Also FExplorer Pro can give you information about your phone or your network and has a good few settings that make most features more customisable. Normally with applications like this one some of the features are a bit crap but all the features in this are top notch.
Overview: FExplorer Pro is pretty good I guess the problem I have with it is that its just a bit longer turn on or to modify in your own way. FExplorer Pro is really good as a file manager because its so compatible with so many file types. FExplorer Pro is not a free application but it only cost $10 and if your not sure you can download the 13 day trial. Read more
Nokia N96 App Review – DynaFile
Name: DynaFile
Description: File Manager
Summary: There are tones and tones of file managers for the nokia n96, which is great because of the 16Gb internal memory that needs to be sorted. It’s fair enough that nokia have a pre-installed file manager but its just so useless that I don’t see a point in using it. That being the case you have to chose what file manager to use, DynaFile is a new file manager and this one of the best. DynaFile has all the normal functions that’s in every other file manager plus a Installation manager, uninstall manager, boot manager, Application manager and a certification tool. The most handy feature I find is the blue-tooth inbox manager which makes it so much easier to find and move files you receive from bluetooth.
Overview: On paper this DynaFile sounds perfect in practice its not so perfect, only because the boot manager doesn’t work on the nokia n96 but everything else is fine. One thing I didn’t mention is the key shortcuts which make the whole usage of the application very easy, but you’ll need to go to “more info” to find out what they all do. DynaFile looks like it was translated but I could be mistaken but it still in beta form which means its free so I think I’ll be using it as my file manager. Read more
Nokia N96 App Review – ActiveFile

Name: ActiveFile,
Description: File Manager,
Summary: There are many File Manager for the nokia N96 and recently all the file managers look and do the same thing with the odd difference. ActiveFile is nothing new and to the untrained eye it looks like any other file manager but looks are far from the truth. ActiveFile has all the basics like file viewer, task manager, prosesses, search and sort settings ect.., the list goes on and on but whats really impressive is the amount of different abilities which make this the most versitial file manager. Features that are really help such as a screenshot, fake sms and even battery information that really show that every effort has been made to pack in abilities and you can really see the developer tried his best and came out with a seriously good application and all creadit goes to him.
Overview: First as far as “homemade” applicationd go this has had the most thought and development, I just havn’t seen an application with this amout of ablities ever. Another thing is the developer put in alot of time but still the application is free so its surely the best file manager yet and is perfect for sorting out any files even if you don’t think your phone can read it. I should say there is 3 differnt versions that set the amount of options you get and I’m using the full one because I don’t think theres a point in geting less options so thats the one in the download link.
