More and more devices are being approved and manufactured each day. Today I ask the question, what would you buy between the Nokia N96 or the first device that ever had Symbian^3 OS, the Nokia N8?

Nokia N96 deals just get better!

After having posted deals about the Nokia N96, they just got better. But sadly the Orange Shop isn’t worldwide available. Lucky English people!

There was a scam last year that you buy a SIM-free contract and all those who fell for it misunderstood it for receiving the N96 SIM free, but you actually receive the SIM not the phone. The best part here is that, with this store, there are no type of SIM-free deals.

Nokia N96 Contract Deals

There are many places where you can get good but not great contract deals. Not all of the good deals offer great things. The N96 is an old Nokia device but not so old that it is forgotten.

There are many places where you can get a  monthly contract deals such as the Nokia N96 or pay as you go meaning pay cash without any extra minutes or messages.

To find a deal like that with Vodacom in South Africa, is like finding a diamond in the ocean. A LCD TV isn’t the only option as a free gift but don’t forget, the consumer gets to choose what type of gift they like from their list. That’s the case from such dealers, such as Dial-a-Phone.

New Nokia N96 1200mAh Battery

December 8, 2010 by

The Nokia N96 was shipped everyday but now its discontinued. A  950mAh battery, which is fine for everyday use unless you take you device to its maximum potential, a little more juice will enhance the performance. A 1200mAh battery does  the job. A while ago, it was reported by a few N96 users that it won’t fit and the N96 doesn’t work with it.

Nokia, the manufacturer, gave a lame excuse that the 1200 mAh battery doesn’t fit the Nokia N96 personality and it would make it look bulky.

A YouTube video reveals the true side rather than the dark side of the story. It shows the user how exactly you can replace your Nokia N96 950mAh battery with 1200 mAh battery for better performance.

N96 front look-a-like

I noticed that the N96 has a twin but apparently only the face is similar. It seems that the similarity hasn’t been noticed by a numerous amount of people. The twin is called Nokia N85!

Lets welcome the N85.

Both of the twins have the same feel and look of the Navi-wheel. The home screen, answering and the rejecting call key are the same but on the N96, the rejecting key goes inside while the N85 rejecting key is only pressed.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the Nokia N96 top keypad is more spacious which of course means that it has more keys, and speaking about keys. it has dedicated music buttons around the Navi-wheel. In the East of the music keys, a silver button is present, it directs you to another type of menu but not the music player.

The menu key, the “c”and both side keys are lighted up during the use of the phone and not always visible. This status applies for both, the Nokia N96 and N85.

The N96 and the N85 have music keys if the user slides it down, the N85 also has zoom keys in the place of the fast forward and back wards.

The N96 is bulkier but worth it to have. I also say that statement for the N85 as they both have similarities but regarding the technical info then my money is on the N96.

Finally back again to provide you all with latest news and software for the nokia n96. As you all probable know the nokia N96 is a quite attractive phone and now nokia have released a all black version obviously for the people who don’t think the n96 is black enough. When I heard of this phone I thought that nokia mite have tried to improve the phone but at least on the inside but I guess its not to be. Apart from the obvious black sides the only other visual difference is the pattern on the back which I think looks worse that the original (or now know as the nokia n96 grey). I think this new colour makes the phone look a lot more badass but I personally prefer the cleaner, shinier look of the grey n96 but I can understand why people would buy the black one but its such a minimal difference that it will make too many people jealous.

Nokia N96 App Review – FontRouterMan

Name: FontRouterMan

Description: Font Adjusting Tool

Summary: Changing the font on your Nokia N96 is quite a task but an even bigger task is finding a font that actually looks good on your N96. FontRouterMan changes that by letting you adjust Length, Size, Font Style, Letter Spacing, Word Spacing, Bitmap Type and min and max Size. Also FontRouterMan will let you chose a font and ask where to find it so this means you can change the font even if you phone is not hacked because it can read fonts from anywhereFontRouterMan will let you adjust any font so that its very usable and is another way to personalise your phone just to how you like it.

Overview: I know the font I’m using isn’t looking that clear at the moment let me explain why, Every time you want to change some thing about your font then you have to restart your phone before it takes effect. So this will take a while to do my advise is not to turn any setting down and only increase them about 3-5 points to start with and use bold. After that you will probably what to change it some more and I would say to do that over the course of the day because I guess that the phone won’t like to be restarted every 5 minutes. There is two Applications that you have to install but they are both in the link at the bottom as well as some fonts.FontRouterMan is in the RC (release candidate) stage which means that it’s basically ready for distribution and its free.

Please note that one of the applications needs to be signed!
