Description: Sms, Call manager

Summary: The Nokia N96 is an expensive phone meaning that in a lot of cases owners have to get a tariff, with this phone most tariffs have plenty of Call and Sms credit even so its good to keep track of your tariff. PBC Cost Control will count the amount of calls and texts you make, you can set the day your bill is payed and your quota of call and texts and it will warn you when your quota is up. Its a great idea and PBC-Mobile Group have done it well with its simple and easy to use UI.

Overview: It’s a Great idea if you use your phone a lot then its information you really need to know unless you like spending money with out knowing. In fairness the information is easy to find out but its never going to warn you, so I’m a bit mixed because this cost $6.49 and has so many different names including “Monitoring Your Minutes&Texts Plan“, “PBC_MonIncMT” and what PBC call it themselves “PBC-Cost Control“. Chose what you want to call it yourself, anyway I’m mixed because it doesn’t really do that much but if you have ever gone over your call quota then it would probably more than that. To help you decide there is a 7 day trial so check it out see if you need it. Read more

Nokia N96 App Review – TextQuick

screenshot0087Name: Text Quick

Description: Sms tool,

Summary: We all want to think that our n96 is the best phone out there, but its hard to ignore if other phones have some applications or features that our n96 doesn’t have. One of these features is that your n96 has no prejudiced over what number you text which is really annoying because it is so obvious that if you text a number frequently then you what it on the top of the list, but nokia just don’t get that. Thankfully the people at mind-Flip have come up with application to do just this, it will count your messages from each person you have received and will then put the contacts in order of popularity. You can also chose to call the people so its more of just a sorting tool rather than dedicated to sms, when you done with Text Quick you can set the options so that it closes after use.

Overview: I was bitterly disappointed with this application mainly because its an application I really wanted just an extension to the nokia sms service but other than that it also counts your messages so if some one texts you more than you text them their number will still come up first. Still Text Quick is a handy application for heavy texter but only the heavy texter it will just annoy anyone else. Here’s another reason to avoid this application and that’s because it cost $9.99. In all fairness anyone who uses the same number a few times a day will love this application its just not for everyone but if it sounds interesting there is a 30 day trial. Read more

Nokia N96 app review – Photoinbox

Name: PhotoInBox

Description: Photo sms display

Summary: This PhotoInBox is an application that will take you a year to set up and will last all of 5 minuets. Never the less its just another way to customize your phone and I’m sure any younger user will have this application right off. What PhotoInBox does is to display a picture of what ever or who ever you chose and when the designated contact send you a message it will display their picture. Its a little deeper than that for the application you can also create sms and Optimize the User-Interface, it feels like a sms base center so if anyone is big into sms which I know there’s a few should check it out.

Overview: You would need to be a big text-er to bother with PhotoInBox as it cost 11,99$ but could be worth a it, as I said it just depends on the person. I would also say that Its about time something like this came out we have been able to see callers with images and now you can have the same for sms. Give it a try because it dose have a 15 day trial so give it a go.
