Summary: Everyday you always end up with some time to spare and you also end up with not enough time to finish everything you have to do. Nokia Mobile phones have the Symbian S60 software that allows you to get the best  apps to solve your problems. You can compare mobile phones from nokia with others like HTC, but the simplicity of the software comes with the Nokia phone. There are many things nowadays to help you spread your time out with out causing your any inconvenience. Message in Time is an Application for your nokia N96 that also works on the Nokia N97 that allows you to write a message and chose who it is sent to and when its is sent to them. The great thing about Message in Time is that you can get it to seed the same message many contacts at the same time, which can really save time in the future for events like the new year and for invitations to events.

Overview: I know that this application has lots of features that the nokia n96 already has but the ability to send messages in the future is a really handy tool. Now for the ability to message people and have it deliver later on isn’t actually free although it probably should be but it costs $12 so its not the most expensive thing on the planet. Message in Time does have a 25 text free trial so you can check it out. Read more

Description: Call and Msg Manager

Summary: I’m sure everyone or at least most people have received phone calls on their nokia n96, normally its easy to ignore but it can still get annoying. Easy Reject is an application that perfects the art of rejecting calls and messages with out you even knowing. Easy Reject can import your numbers you what to avoid from your phonebook and your call log and then it will reject their calls and messages without any sort of notification at all. Easy Reject also lets you check who has called, how many times they called and what the messages say.

Overview: There are many applications that claim to reject your calls but I’ve never seen one that does this good of a job. There’s still the same problem with private numbers so its not exactly perfect but its still very handy application. Easy Reject cost $18.50 but there is a 20 call trial so you can see how good the application is, which is what you can download below Read more

Summary: Over the past few days I’ve been going on about applications with lots of features and lots of applications with only one feature and it seems to me that applications with one feature does its job better. If this truly is the case then you are going to need loads of applications which is going to be a bit of a pain. Smart Money Basics isn’t just one application it is in fact 3 applications that are all there to help sort out your finances. Each application works extremely well and there nothing better in the money managements department.

Overview: Since its three applications its hard to do a review on all of them all but overall they all work fine and they work really well with each other. Each application can be bought on its own but you save 40% if you buy it in this pack but this pack is $29.95 which is quite allot. Genre: Action/Sport

Summary: N-gage is know as the mobile gaming platform but since they havn’t released a new game recently so if your looking of a bit of fun out of your phone you have to look else where. In the world of else where Street Cricket is a new game for your Nokia n96 that doesn’t use n-gage but can still use all the phones hardware. Street Cricket is exactly what it sounds like, its a cricket game that you play on the street and it has great graphics and very smooth gameplay. I know that many people don’t play cricket but if you know anything about it the you will know its a game needs a bit of strategy and can always be lost.

Overview: Street Cricket is a pretty entertaining game but I think its missing a multilayer, but its still entertaining. One thing about cricket is that you have to know the rules and the best strategy to be able to win. Street Cricket is a free game thats nice and small an works very smoothly so it makes for an enjoyable game. Read more

screenshot0075Name: ExeMaster

Description: Auto-Start Manager

Summary: In the past week or so there have been a few applications that have many functions and it has been a long time before I have seen one that only does only one thing. ExeMaster is an application for your nokia n96 thats designed to only do one thing, and that is to control your applications. I know a few applications can do stuff like this but none can do it to the same extent. ExeMaster can let you chose how your applications open like whether it runs or runs in the backgroung or any other way. ExeMaster can save your chosen applications and let you activate and deactivate them very easily.

Overview: It’s really refreshing to see an application that can do more than what you expected. ExeMaster has lots of quality and works perfectly on the nokia n96 and could almost be called nessesary but that depends on the applications that you are running. ExeMaster isn’t a free application but it only cost $3.50 so its hardly a big problem but the application does have a 14 day trial that will let you use all it’s features. Read more

Nokia N96 App Review – EasyMap

Filed under GPS, Nokia, Review, S60, Software, Symbian

screenshot0058Name: EasyMap

Description: GPS Map

Summary: Since google came out with its free maps there have been a good few competitors but they never seem to be able to beat Google Maps.EasyMap is another application based on openstreetmap map style and is know for its uasablity and speed. EasyMap uses your gps to find your location and displays the street maps of the local environment and show you the local services you mite need like trains and buses. EasyMap is built for quality and speed but the speed seems to be missing, but the quality of the application more than enough to get you to forget that.

Overview: Well EasyMap is a nice looking application but really lacks function, EasyMap only has the abiltiy to look a the map, no navigation and no search. With the lack of functions you would wonder why the creators want 13$ for it, but if you want to try out the demo then it will last 14 days and will let you see a few of the good points. Truthfully this application has no noticeable value, better to stick with google maps. Read more

Nokia N96 App Review – FExplorer Pro

screenshot0040Name: FExplorer Pro,

Description: Complete Phone Utility,

Summary: It seems like applications now a days applications are either going to have to have one great and unique feature or a whole bunch of other features. FExplorer Pro is the latest application from SBSH for the nokia n96 to act as a complete phone /utility tool. FExplorer Pro is at first a File Manager with a task manager, process manager, Image Viewer, screen capture tool, memory defragment and file editor. Also FExplorer Pro can give you information about your phone or your network and has a good few settings that make most features more customisable. Normally with applications like this one some of the features are a bit crap but all the features in this are top notch.

Overview: FExplorer Pro is pretty good I guess the problem I have with it is that its just a bit longer turn on or to modify in your own way. FExplorer Pro is really good as a file manager because its so compatible with so many file types. FExplorer Pro is not a free application but it only cost $10 and if your not sure you can download the 13 day trial. Read more

screenshot0013Name: BatterySaver

Description: Power Manager

Summary: With all the advances in technology its strange that batteries still don’t have enough charge the nokia n96 for more than a few days. The Lack of battery life in the nokia n96 is one of its biggest problems and for some it would be considered the only problem. BatterySaver is an application that can control your applications, gps, bluetooth, screensaver, backlight and the brightness to save more power and make your battery last longer. BatterySaver watches your battery level so that it can adjust the setting to make save more power when the battery is low. It has different pre set profiles that varies the level of power you save that can be edited to match your style, BatterySaver also has the ability to start at your defined time.

Overview: In theory BatterySaver is a good application in practice its even better all the settings and conditions that you can set are just the settings you want. I guess the only thing I can complain about is that this application isn’t free so that will put off a few people but it only cost £5 so if you battery annoys you that much you can try the demo and see if there’s any improvement. Nokia N96 App Review – VibrateCall

screenshot0320Name: VibrateCall

Description: Call Utility

Summary: If you consider the amount of time you spend on you nokia N96 waiting for someone to answer their phone and half the time people don’t answer so you just wasted a minute of your life listening to your phone for nothing. VibrateCall is a very handy application that will tell you when there is someone on the other end of your call. VibrateCall does this by vibrating while your contact’s phone is ringing and it will stop once someone answers their phone, and if you don’t want it to vibrate you can make it go on loudspeaker or even both so you know exactly when someone is on the other end. The application can also auto-start and can be hidden and it works like a charm.

Overview: This is great application really simple and really clever and doesn’t seem to have a single downside to it so it makes for a really good application. There is one small thing and that is that its not free but its only $4.99 which is nothing for an application that will be used every time you make a call. There is a trial which doesn’t look like it has any limit so be sure to check out this great new application. Read more
